About Irving, TX

Irving is a city of about 240,000 people in Dallas County. It is an adjacent western suburb of the city of Dallas, and a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The city was founded 1903 and is believed to have been named in honor of the literary author Washington Irving. It is the site of many popular entertainment venues, including Toyota Music Factory, the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, and the West-in Irving Convention Center Hotel.

Before its incorporation in 1914, Irving was known as Gorbit, and then Kit. At the turn of the century the town consisted of two cotton gins, a blacksmith, a general store, and a few churches. It grew slowly but steadily until the 1930’s, when growth took off and many businesses and manufacturing plants came to the area. The University of Dallas in Irving came along in 1956, and Texas Stadium was opened in 1971.

Since then, Irving has experienced a surge in growth. Many Fortune 500 companies have their headquarters in Irving, including Exxon-Mobil and Kimberly-Clark. Verizon, Citigroup, and the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport are the top employers in Irving. Irving has a very culturally diverse population, with 33% of all residents being foreign-born. It is home to Las Colinas, the nation’s first master-planned community, and the Mustangs at Las Colinas, the world’s largest equine sculpture.

Irving Roofing Concerns

As a part of North Texas, Irving is subject to the same volatile storms that target the state each spring. The majority of the roof damage we see in Irving comes from wind and hail damage. Hail is an unfortunate reality in Texas, which is the most hail-damaged state in the US, year after year. Our team works tirelessly to bring the fastest response times and best roofing services to those who need them. We make emergency storm repairs, replace storm-damaged roofs, and assist with filing insurance claims.
